Six areas of focused service. One shared mission: empowering every person in our communities to live a healthier, fuller, more hopeful life.
Sight is a gift that too many in our communities go without due to cost or access barriers. Our Lions volunteers conduct free vision screenings, distribute eyeglasses, and connect families to affordable eye care services across DC, Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.

No one in our communities should go to bed hungry. We work alongside food banks, pantries, and community organizations to ensure that families have access to nutritious food — not just in times of crisis, but every day.

Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential. We invest in youth through mentorship, scholarships, leadership development, and safe community spaces — because the future of our region depends on how well we invest in its young people today.

Diabetes affects millions of Americans, and our region is no exception. We raise awareness, provide free screenings, and connect community members to resources that help them manage or prevent diabetes and live healthier lives.

Our communities are home to some of the most beautiful parks, waterways, and green spaces on the East Coast. We work to protect and restore these natural treasures so that current and future generations can enjoy clean air, clean water, and healthy environments.

When disaster strikes — whether a hurricane, flood, fire, or other crisis — our community mobilizes quickly. Lions are often among the first to respond and the last to leave, providing immediate aid and supporting long-term recovery.
